| Congratulations To Joe Scheper For Becoming The Kappa Zeta Chapters First Ever Chapter Advisor |
|
Brother Joe Scheper has served the Kappa Zeta chapter advisor for some time now unofficially but it was only recently that it became official. Brother Scheper has been accredited by nationals to advise the Kappa Zeta chapter and help lead us to greatness. Joe will also be accompanying five members of Kappa Zeta to the Pi Kappa Alpha 2010 International Convention in Austin, Texas. Brother Scheper's continuous support of the Kappa Zeta Chapter has been a driving force that hopefully will help thrust the Kappa Zeta chapter into the spotlight this summer by bringing home the chapters first ever Robert Adger Smythe Award. The Robert Adger Smythe Awards recognize overall chapter superiority and prominence. The chapters that win this award are tops on their campus and the “best of the best” amongst all of Pi Kappa Alpha.

| Alumni Association Coming Soon |
Recent alum, Matt Eifert and soon to be alum Joe Scheper are in the midst of planning the formation of the new Louisville Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni Association. Alumni in the Louisville Area will soon receive an invitation email that goes as follows:
Greetings Fellow Brothers,
On March 1, 1868, six men joined together to create a fraternity that would establish friendship and brotherhood and enable them to jointly succeed. Today, that fraternity is the largest international fraternity and has over 200 chapters across the US and Canada. One of these chapters is the Kappa Zeta Chapter ( www.UofLPikes.com) at the University of Louisville. We our honored and humbled to be a part of something so successful and highly regarded; We know that every Pike feels the same.
The Kappa Zeta chapter was on the decline with a membership of 15 brothers. Those 15 brothers took the initiative to contact nationals for assistance, and now after two of the campus' largest recruitment classes the chapter is almost 45 strong. It has come to our attention that the greater Louisville area is one of the few areas lacking a Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni Association. In light of the recent successes at the University of Louisville, we have decided to contact brothers in the area to stir interest.
If you are interested in attending Pike Alumni events in the greater Louisville area or desiring to become a founding father of the Louisville Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni Association please contact
In the Bonds,
Matthew Eifert (Louisville '05)
Joseph R. Scheper (Louisville '07)
