Pikes Peak Week - 9/27/2009
The Kappa Zeta Chapter just completed Pikes Peak Week and raised approximately $1,500 for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Kentuckiana. Saturday, September 26th wrapped up the week with a kickball tournament involving both sororities and fraternities. The Kappa Zeta Chapter participated in the Bigs for a day program that involved a member being paired with a child from the BBBS during the event. The kids participated in the kickball tournament by playing with different sororities throughout the day. BBBS thanked the Kappa Zeta Chapter for providing a fun activity for the children, raising approximately $1,500, and helping sign up numerous people for the BBBS program.

Kenducky Derby - 9/26/2009
The Kappa Zeta Chapter potential new members participated in the 6th annual Ken-ducky Derby this Saturday, September 26th. The Ken-ducky Derby is hosted by the Harbor House whose purpose is to serve adults with disabilities. Active members helped the potential new members as they helped to set up company booths, host a free cornhole tournament, retrieve all the ducks from the river, and help to clean up after the event was over.

Pike Awards - 8/3/2009
Kappa Zeta was awarded the Harvey T. Newell Most Improved Chapter in the Nation award. This award is given out annually to ONE of Pike's over 200 chapters, and Kappa Zeta beat out five finalist chapters to earn it. Our chapter was also given Pike's Excellence award, given to the top 20% of Pike chapters.

Athlete of the Semester: Brother Brian Davis

Athlete of the Semester: Brother Brian Davis won Athlete of the Semester for returning an interception for a touchdown in the B-Team Intramural Flag Football championship.  This feat could likely only be accomplished by brother Davis, and it is due to his hard work and preparation for the game that he was able to pull off this Hall-of-Fame-worthy pick six.

Pike Signs 8 During Spring Rush
Spring rush was again a success this year with Pi Kappa Alpha signing eight new pledges, despite not having a rush located on Greek Row.  The chapter has confidence that the Alpha Beta pledge class will help Kappa Zeta greatly down the road.  Congratulations on these eight men on their way to becoming brothers.

Recently, the Kappa Zeta Chapter gave out its overall awards for the Spring Semester.
